13 of 13 people found the following review helpful  Here is the scoop with ordering this filter, May 21, 2016 This review is from: Refrigerator Water Filter Fits Whirlpool W10295370A Here is the deal when you order this filter because I ordered one and it fit fine... then I ordered 2 more and they don't fit. The first one came from CR in NY. I ordered the Alpine as shown but CR sent RFC 1700A (the only identification on the box). I was worried at first but It works perfectly in W10295370A Whirlpool. So I said "buy again" and ordered 2 more. This time the shipment came from Besttestdeal in Lexington, KY and they are Alpine brand as described and they DON'T FIT.. they are too wide - won't even begin to go in. So if you are lucky enough to get the RFC 1700A it will work.. but the Alpine brand won't. And that's why some people say this filter is fine and some say not. It has a slightly bigger diameter. I had to return it.still looks like a very good product. The description should be changed to avoid errors. 9 of 10 people found the following review helpful  Does not fit., March 21, 2016 This review is from: Refrigerator Water Filter Fits Whirlpool W10295370A Does not fit Whirlpool Gold Model GSF26C4EXW02. Diameter about an 1/8" off. Like another review I tried shaving down the alignment tabs. No dice. Simply will not fit.
The installation guide says "may need to push hard". I was literally tilting the fridge from pushing on the filter so much; I think that qualifies as "pushing hard".
